Single Energy Impact Hammers
Models SIH10 and SIH200
SIH10
The Single Energy Impact Hammer is designed to perform impact tests for product durability. The SIH10 meets the testing needs of industry standards such as IEC 60065, 60335, 60598, 60601, 61010 and others. The hammer simulates mechanical impact to electronic products and electrical appliances.
The impact hammer is set at the factory to one specific energy level. The energy range available is between 0.14 Nm to 1 Nm (Joule). (The energy level must be specified at time of order). This instrument costs less than the Universal Impact Hammer and is economical when only one energy is needed. A compressed spring accelerates a striking element to hit the sample undergoing test. The spring is released from a locking mechanism by pressing the cone-shaped end of the impact hammer against the product under test.
This product meets requirements of IEC 60068-2-75.

This model is the same as the SIH10 except for the striking element size shape, material and weight. According to IEC60068-2-75 the striking element tip must be made of steel with a special 25 mm radius and it must weigh 500 grams.
The model SIH200 complies with IEC60068-2-75.
