Friborg Tumbling Barrel -- Model 5100
The Tumbling Barrel executes a mechanical impact test of components such as plugs. The barrel rotates and the samples fall down from a height of 500 mm for every half turn rotation of the barrel. The rotation speed is 5 turns per minute (10 test cycles per minute). Speed can be adjusted with a variable transformer. The fall-down surface is made of steel sheet, 3 mm, with wooden supports, 20 mm. The barrel is made of painted steel sheet, 1.5 mm. This can be equipped with one or two barrels. This instrument complies with IEC 65, figure 9; CEE 7 and other industry standards.
